Highlights from our UK M&A Q1 2026 Valuation Indices, covering UK M&A transaction multiples for M&A deals completed in January – March 2026.

Deal Volumes

Deal activity in Q1 2026 totalled 1,386 transactions, indicating a slight moderation in market activity following the Q4 2025 peak of 1,554 deals.

All Cap EBITDA multiple

The revenue multiple also declined in Q1 2026 relative to Q4 2025 but was ahead of the comparable quarter in 2025.

SECTOR-BASED INDICES

In this quarter, the proportion of deals in Technology, Media and Communications, which are typically associated with higher valuation multiples, was lower, while the share of completions in sectors such as Consumer, which tend to attract lower multiples, increased.
