HIGHLIGHTS

There was a fall in the number of deals completed in May, compared with previous months.

We combined data from MarktoMarket’s platform and our other sources to estimate the value of deals completed and announced in May 2024.

DEAL COMMENTARY

The largest deal in May was Permira’s acquisition of Squarespace, Inc  for £5.5 billion.

SPOTLIGHT TRANSACTIONS

Other deals during April included:

• KKR’s acquisition of IQGeo Group Plc for £316 million
• Watches of Switzerland Group Plc’s acquisition of Roberto Coin Inc. for £130 million

The smaller end of the market witnessed the following deals:

• Halma Plc’s acquisition of MK Test Systems for £44 million
• FRP Advisory’s acquisition of Hilton-Baird Group for £8.4 million
• Software Circle Plc’s acquisition of Be The Brand for £3.5 million
