MarktoMarket presents its UK Equity Fundraising Report Full Year 2025. The report covers data on equity fundraising activity by UK private companies in 2025.

The total equity capital raised at Seed and Series A stages fell by 3.7%. Conversely, the total equity cheques at Series B+ stage increased 10.3%, buoyed by mega rounds by Revolut and NScale.

The data used in this report has been extracted from the MarktoMarket platform, which captures announced and unannounced fundraising activity by UK-registered businesses.

Our Pre-Seed Market data includes all UK equity fundraising events between £250,000 – £1,000,000.

Figure 1: Quarterly Pre-Seed Deal Volumes

Deal volumes in both 2024 and 2025 followed a comparable trajectory, characterised by sequential quarterly declines before a rebound in Q4. When viewed year‑on‑year, 2025 pre‑seed fundraising activity averaged 14.75% lower than 2024.

Figure 2: Quarterly Pre-Seed Deal Value (£m)

Year‑on‑year, pre‑seed deal values increased across all four quarters, with Q1 consistently generating the highest volume of activity. The uplift from Q1 2024 to Q1 2025, an 11.1% increase, signals a notably strong start to the year, before levelling out in Q2 and Q3.
