The event will be hosted by Doug Lawson, CEO and Co-Founder of MarktoMarket. Doug will be joined by Doug will be joined by Richard Pindar, CEO of Literacy Capital.
Richard Pindar was a founder of Literacy Capital in September 2017. The company raised £54m to invest in smaller, UK-based private businesses. Since then, the fund has listed on the London Stock Exchange and is now an investment trust with £300m of net assets. The growth in assets was achieved without raising additional capital, making Literacy Capital the best performing investment company since it listed in 2021. Including bolt-on transactions, the fund and its portfolio companies have completed around 70 transactions since inception. Prior to Literacy, Richard had experience at another private equity firm, as well as KPMG, where he also qualified as a chartered accountant.
